Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Monk Mode collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Monk Mode is operated by Loma Labs LLC ("Loma Labs," "we," or "us"). This is our notice at collection for California residents and our general privacy notice for everyone else.

We keep this simple on purpose: we collect what we need to sell and ship you a product and to run the site, and nothing we're selling to advertisers.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Contact information — your name, email address, and shipping address. You give us this when you create an account, place an order, or contact us.
• Order information — what you bought, your order history, and your subscription status if you have a subscription.
• Payment information — processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the card brand and last four digits); we do not collect or store your full card number.
• Technical information — hosting and security logs may include IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, and timestamps.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• process and ship your orders, and manage your subscription if you have one;
• send order confirmations and shipping updates, and renewal reminders if you have a subscription;
• provide customer support and respond to your requests;
• operate, secure, and improve the site;
• send you marketing email if you've opted in, which you can stop at any time; and
• comply with legal obligations, including recordkeeping required by subscription and consumer-protection laws.

We do not use your information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement.

Analytics and cookies

The storefront does not currently use Plausible, PostHog, advertising pixels, or session recordings. Hosting and payment providers process technical information needed to deliver and secure their services. Cookies or similar storage may be used for essential functions such as checkout and administrator sign-in.

There is no optional product-analytics toggle at launch because optional product analytics are not enabled. The Privacy Choices page explains how to contact Monk Mode about personal information. If optional analytics or advertising tools are added, this policy and the available controls will be updated before those tools are enabled.

How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only so they can perform services for us. These include our payment processor, our shipping and fulfillment provider, our email provider, and our analytics providers. These providers are bound by contract to use the information only for the services they provide to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. In the language of California and other state privacy laws, we do not "sell" or "share" personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above:

• Order and subscription records — kept as long as your account is active and afterward as needed to meet tax, accounting, and consumer-protection recordkeeping obligations (including subscription-consent records that some laws require us to retain for a set period).
• Account information — kept while your account is open; you can ask us to delete it.
• Technical logs — retained as needed to operate the site, investigate errors, and protect against abuse.

When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know / access the personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
• Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;
• Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (we don't do these, but the right stands); and
• Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CPRA). Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others — have comparable rights. We extend the core rights above to all our customers regardless of state.

How to exercise your rights. Contact us at jon@getmonkmode.com. We will verify your request, usually by confirming information tied to your account, and respond within the time your state's law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not charge you or degrade your service for making a request.

Appeals. If we deny your request and your state grants an appeal right, the response will explain how to appeal.

Global Privacy Control

The storefront does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and optional product analytics are not enabled. There is currently no advertising or analytics collection for a Global Privacy Control signal to disable. This policy and the site controls will be updated before those practices change.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.

Third-party links

The site may link to other websites we don't control. This policy doesn't cover their practices; read their policies before giving them information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice as required by law.
